Japan 2025
I took two of my boys to Japan in December 2025. The thing I love most about Japan is how the smallest, most insignificant things are still so fascinating. A train platform vending machine that serves hot chocolate. The sunlight against the leaves. Spaghetti power lines. The direction signs in the subways. The sound of cicadas. The paper bibs that are served with the ramen. The super-super-niche stores in Akihabara. All the foods. It was a very civilised, ordered overwhelm of the senses.
